This would have been a bit easier (though it wasn't very difficult) and possibly more accurate if I could actually look at my books...but the vast majority of my thousand-plus books are all in boxes and in storage. SO. Instead I went through the earlier portion of my Goodreads and found books that I first heard about and was interested in reading when I first got into reading--when I first read the Twilight saga. Here's what I came up with! They're definitely "older" books.
Unseen and Unbroken by Rachel Caine: I actually read the first two books of this series and really liked them, but I never got around to reading the last two--or finish the third--for some reason.
Weather Wardens by Rachel Caine: Thanks to the Morganville Vampires I have to own everything Rachel Caine writes and I currently have over thirty books with her name on them, including this series--but I haven't read it!
Vampire Huntress Legend by L.A. Banks: I picked this series up from the library when I was in a post-Twilight vampire craze and saw the cover of Wicked (book eight?). Despite realizing, as a higher schooler, that this was a more adult series, I really enjoyed the books and kept reading the series, but I can't remember where I left off. This series also contains the first book I read that was, well, adult.
Diva by Jillian Larkin: I loved this series, but I never got around to the last book (and I'll probably need to reread the first two books).
Endure by Carrie Jones: Same with the Flappers trilogy--this was a favorite series back in the day, and I wonder what I would think of it now.
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher: I haven't read a lot of big and popular books, okay?
Falling For You by Lisa Schroeder: I'm so behind on my Lisa Schroeder books I'm horrible.
Shift and Shine by Jeri Smith Ready: I didn't love the first book in this series, but I still wanted to read the rest of it--something I've been meaning to do for years.
Halo by Alexandra Adornetto: I haven't heard the best things about this series, but I used to really want to read it--and still do.
The Immortals by Alyson Noel: This--and House of Night and Fallen--is a series that I never loved but liked to an extent, and never finished, but they're all series I don't know that I'd be a fan of today.
What books have been on your TBR for basically forever?

You know, I'm pretty sure I have a copy of Thirteen Reasons Why sitting around too...so many books so little time!
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about Rachel Caine books.

Jillian's series always interested me and now that '13 Reasons' is rumored to become a series (I think?), I should probably look that one up!
ReplyDeleteFalling for You should definitely be on my list too. But I have a different Lisa Shroeder book on there. And YES to 13 Reasons Why. I LOVE Jay Asher!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I need to read Morganville Vampires series soon! I have the 1st & 2nd book since forever. Haha.
