Get Up Offa That Slump: A Blogging Extravaganza - Mad Libs

Hello, all! Welcome to DAY  FIVE of Get Up Offa That Slump: A Blogging Extravaganza! I hope you've been enjoying it so far! This extravaganza is a three-week long partay consisting of blog posts that will hopefully do a number of things: get you back into blogging and remind you how fun and creative blogging can be. To learn more about this shindig (all the cool kids are doing it, just an FYI), you can check out the introduction post here and join in anytime!

Now, for today's festivities:

Here's the prompt: Mad Libs are probably going to be the next big thing after coloring books, let's be real. And you can make your own. Pick a scene or passage or whatever from a book, take out names and nouns and adjectives and verbs and all that fun stuff, and create a Mad Lib. Then fill it out and please don't die laughing. (And be sure to leave a blank version for others to fill out, too!)

OR, you can share Character Dating Profiles: That poor character you adore really needs to be in a good relationship, so you're going to make an online dating profile for them. Tell us what they like and dislike, how old they are (or say they are), what they look like, some of their best quotes, and all that jazz. The more the merrier.

So, wow, this was hard. I literally have a pile of like ten books next to me on my bed because I couldn't find a scene that I could turn into a Mad Lib. BUT NEVER FEAR. I came up with one! It's kind of long, but I promise you it's worth. I won't mention what book it's from--and won't post the original quote--for the sake of spoilers, but if you've read the book then you'll definitely recognize this scene. Fair warning: there are a lot of body parts. (Yes, I went there.) But no adverbs, no sorry.

I'll post a key of what will be in the Mad Lib so it's completely random and nonsensical, the actual Mad Lib with spots for your spectacular answers, and then my answers.

The Mad Lib

He kept a       1             2       until they       3       a corner into an       4             5       and he stepped closer, needing to       6       her.

He       11       his       12       at the effect her       13       had on him, like someone       14       an invisible       15       down his       16      . "I've got       17       for the rest of the       18      ," he managed to say. It was true. "I've got another in       19      ." Which he'd surely be late for if he followed her, considering how long it would take to walk to her       20      .

My Answers

He kept a smelly mile until they triangled a corner into an shiny bathroom and he stepped closer, needing to dance her.

"Aidan Turner and the Beliebers are gone until Christmas," she said sparkly.

He ran his ear at the effect her growl had on him, like someone jumping an invisible finger down his knee. "I've got bookstore for the rest of the week," he managed to say. It was true. "I've got another in a year." Which he'd surely be late for if he followed her, considering how long it would take to walk to her zoo.

She paused, winced at him. But his back drifted to the small wooden door just a few feet away. A kitchen. She followed his attention, and a slow smile spread across her face. She turned toward it, but he grabbed her stomach, bringing his foot closer to hers. You're going to have to be very blaring."

She reached the knob and opened the door, swimming him inside. "I have a feeling that I'm going to be telling you that in a decade," she roaredcollar bone gleaming with the Monopoly.

Cisco's blood screeched through him, and he stabbed her into the kitchen and wedged a sword beneath the handle.

Whether you made a Mad Lib or a character dating profile, this was fun, wasn't it? I think so! And don't forget to link up!
