I know, I know--we're already over a week into the month of March. Buuut school has been an ass-kicker and I was having webcam problems (or program problems, it looks like), and I am inherently lazy and a very big procrastinator. Most of the blame falls on the former two, but never fear, my recaps for January and February are here, with a preview of March!
Books Read
March 10, 2015: I have this preordered and I have seen some pretty darn good reviews. (Also, I still need to read the last Newsoul book. Oops.)
March 31, 2015: I'm probably going to binge this with a reread of Code Name Verity and finally reading Rose Under Fire, which may not be the best idea but whatever.
March 31, 2015: Open Road Summer was really good, so I have high hopes for this one.
-The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
-How to Outswim a Shark Without a Snorkel by Jess Keating
-Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
-Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
-The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
-The Girl & the Machine by Beth Revis
Reviews
-How to Outswim a Shark Without a Snorkel by Jess Keating: Such a fun sequel!
-Kiss of Broken Glass by Madeleine Kuderick: Eh.
-The Loop by Shandy Lawson: I liked this!
-Boomerang by Noelle August: Why, hello, New Adult.
-Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard: Predictable, cliched, and--HOLY CRAP.
Favorite Book Read
My review does a shoddy job explaining it, but this book was good.
Book Haul
I bought a lot of books.
Weekly Posts
I discussed what debuts I'm looking forward to most in 2015, books I meant to read in 2014, top foreign book editions I want, and some books I'd love to read with my book club.
I waited on the latest book from Sarah Dessen, a book with a scavenger hunt, a book everyone seems to love, and the sequel to Hook's Revenge.
Other Posts
January marked the new year, so I posted my 2014 End of Year Book Survey. The blog tour for Jess Keating's How to Outswim a Shark Without a Snorkel stopped by, and I interviewed The Sin Eater's Daughter author Melinda Salisbury about her debut. Lastly, I shared some of my reading goals for 2015.
Events
The latest addition to The Lunar Chronicles published this month, so I went to the launch party for Marissa Meyer's Fairest!
In Memoriam
In January we had to say goodbye to Tag, a dog who wasn't ours, and yet, he was. We saw him enough, dogsat him, and cared for him that he was like a dog we had shared custody of. We miss the absolute hell out of you, Big Buddy.

Remember, school has been kicking my ass, and I haven't been able to get much reading done.
-Fairest by Marissa Meyer
-Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
-Fish Out of Water by Natalie Whipple: This was such a fun and cute contemporary!
-Fairest by Marissa Meyer: Levana is a psycho bitch.
-The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson: This book was so good.
-The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury: So much craziness.
-The Girl & the Machine by Beth Revis: Meh.
-Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers: Good book was a good book.
I love when so many people say a book is really good and it is.
I may have a wee bit of a book buying problem.
I talked about what fantasy novels I really want to read, some bookish problems, and kickass heroines.
I waited on a fairy tale mash-up, a book I REALLY NEED, a novel with a race around the world and skin-shifting, and historical fiction with a pretty cover and Leonard da Vinci.
It was blog tours galore this month with those for The Glass Arrow, The Sin Eater's Daughter, and One of the Guys making a stop, and I had a little Valentine's Day giveaway.

Finals are this month, so I don't know that I'll get much reading done, but I'm horribly behind on my Goodreads goal already.

Enjoy March, readerlies!
Enjoy March, readerlies!
It's kinda scary how many books I've read to you. I read 5 books in January, then 2 in February, and yeahhh midterms are in March and have not been able to read much at all as well. SEE. We scarily same reading paces...or maybe we are just horrible at getting our asses kicked by school. ;D I have spring break starting tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to get some reading done!
ReplyDeleteI love this recap! (: I really want to read The Girl of Fire and Thorns and Grave Mercy! They're both been on my Kindle for the longest time! The Orphan sounds amazing and I'm excited for it! Also, sorry about Tag. He looks like such a sweetheart! I love dogs so much! (:
