Top Ten Tuesday (114)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme

This Tuesday's theme is...

Top Ten Most Anticipated 2015 Debuts

Debuts, debuts, debuts! Last year, books like Emery Lord's Open Road Summer and Sharon Biggs Waller's A Mad, Wicked Folly, along with Heidi Schulz's Hook's Revenge and Jess Keating's How to Outrun a Crocodile When Your Shoes Are Untied, kicked it out of the park. I've already read one of the books on this list and am currently reading another, but we'll see what debuts reign in 2015. Hopefully it's some of these. Because I want to reeeaaad them.

The Not-So-Scary Monster
February 10, 2015: This Middle Grade fantasy sounds amazing. Kymera, the main character, has wings, a spiked tail, and bolts in her neck. Thank gosh this is on my Kindle because I hope the book is as magic-filled as the story is.

The Royal Read
February 10, 2015: I'm actually reading this now, but I'm only a teensy bit of a way in, so there's not much I can really say about it. Except that I hope it gets really good. Because I really like the idea of people being separated by their blood and it sounds so cool.

The Mack Truck
February 24, 2015: I've already read this. But I put it on here because it was one of my most anticipated books of 2015, and probably my most anticipated debut, prior to reading it. And it's the mack truck because it hits you with one. Repeatedly. While on a rollercoaster.

The Drool-Worthy Cover
April 14, 2015: An apple tree contains a door to a whole new world, which is super cool. But that cover. THAT COVER.

The When in a Rome-like World Brutal Fantasy
April 28, 2015: I don't think I've read anything set in Rome, let alone a world that's like Rome and very brutal. And it's fantaaasssyyy. So give it to me.

The One with Feather-Haired People
April 28, 2015: Seriously, this book had me when it mentioned the ancient race of people whose hair was feathers. My hair is purple, and I love it. But FEATHERS.

The Wrath of Raving Reviews
May 12, 2015: I guess this is inspired by A Thousand and One Nights, which I'm not familiar with. (Why am I thinking of Aladdin?) But so many people are like, "Oh my gosh, READ THIS," so I want to.

The World I Already Want to Live In
June 2, 2015: The title is enough said.

The Book with Witches, Pirates, and Ghosts, Oh My!
June 2, 2015: Not witches, but a witch hunter. Though people think she's a witch and want her burned at the stake. But whatever, it sounds GOOD (though it probably sucks for the poor witch hunter).

The Coverless One
Fall 2015: I have been waiting on this for what seems like a very long time. And it still doesn't have a cover or release date. But it has an amazing-sounding synopsis and I just want this book already, okay?

What 2015 debuts are you eager to get your hands?

  11. All I need for Book Scavenger is to see the title and the cover and it's already on my TBR. I have no idea what it's about but it doesn't really matter! Red Queen has been on my radar for awhile and I'm really looking forward to The Water and The Wild. Great list!
