Top Ten Books I'd Frame
As Pieces Of Art
As Pieces Of Art
YES! Loving today's topic, especially since there are a bunch of covers that (for the most part without text) I want on my shelves and walls. And here are ten of them!
When Borders was still in existence (a moment of silence), I saw this on the shelf and always thought it was SO PRETTY. Here? It looks like a gorgeous movie poster.
Obviously, there's an ANIMAL (bonobo, to be exact) on it.
Since I first saw this cover I've been saying that I want it on my wall.
I just...it makes me drool. And it's so SIMPLE. But I love it.
I have a thing for maps, and also I like this song.
There's simplicity about them, but really I just want to hang those wings up.
I bought this book just for the cover, and it's another one that I've been saying I want on my wall. I mean, look at it. It's so preeetty.
"Every breath you take. Every move you make. Every bond you break. Every step you take. I'll be watching you."
I have to represent the classics, and also I already have plans to put this on my wall. (You know how Barnes & Noble has those book covers everywhere? I want to do something like that.)
What book covers would you put on your wall?
The title can stay.

I had Gatsby on my list too. I've always loved that cover and once you read the book it's just, like, the best. So relevant and a perfect depiction of the book's symbolism. I almost put the Shatter Me trilogy on my list too, but I ended up not. Those covers are fantastic, though. Awesome TTT!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday!
I'm not fond of the Great Gatsby, but I do love the cover, and it's so iconic that it would be great art. I love the cover of Half Bad. Great choices. :)

Such pretty covers. I really love the cover of Half Bad. The Shatter Me trilogy has such beautiful covers too. I really like the cover of Across The Universe as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you put a classic on your list! That Gatsby cover is one of my very favorites. It's so haunting...

Angelfall and World After are soooo pretty. I must have them. I might just order the covers and hang them on my walls after all. Geez, are they pretty :'(
ReplyDeleteHave you gotten the chance to read them yet? Are they any good?
Great picks! I love the Endangered cover it's one of the reasons I bought it actually =)
ReplyDeleteShatter Me made my list too! <3 I just love the cover of that trilogy. Also, Let's Get Lost is pretty too! <3

I have Across The Universe on my list too! I love the covers for Plus One and Angelfall, they are beautiful! Great picks! New follower :)
ReplyDeletePlus One's cover is so pretty! I need that book purely cause of how pretty it is!

Ah, I forgot Across the Universe. That cover is also part of why I read the book. Oh, also, I almost included Beware the Wild, but I already had so many. I love it so much, though I'm not sure if the book is a me book. Let's Get Lost would fit so nicely in a den or something, along side your map of the world with pins for where you've been!
ReplyDeleteYou chose such great covers!! I love that Across the Universe cover, too. So bitter about that redesign, and I didn't even love the last two books. The Half Bad cover is so gorgeous in person, too - IT'S SO SHINY.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love that How to Love cover! :)
ReplyDeleteJane
I was debating How to Love. I had it on my primary list but I think I love the story more than I love the cover. I love how simple the cover is. It lets the story do the talking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!

I'm beginning to appreciate the SHATTER ME series covers, but I haven't quite got over the fact they changed the cover design after the original hardcover release. I have this thing about cover uniformity over a series, and a part of me died when they announced they were changing the artwork starting with the paperback release. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAmong my favorite covers are THE LOST PLANET by Rachel Searles, and the 1975 Pan edition of H.G. Wells' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS.
Great choices! I also chose Across the Universe and Shatter Me. I really like the Plus One cover too.
ReplyDeleteLove the Half Bad cover! Have you read the book yet? It was really really good!
ReplyDeleteyes! I totally agree w Beware the Wild and Let's Get Lost. love the covers!
