Top Ten Tuesday (79)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This Tuesday's theme is...

Top Ten Bookish Things
I'd Like To Own

I want to own LOTS of bookish things. And, of course, lots of BOOKS. So here are ten things of the bookish variety that my grabby hands want to get a hold of.

I don't really NEED bookends, but I've seen some totally awesome that I NEED. I've seen similar to the above at Fuego, but these raven ones are on Amazon. There are also super cool bookends here.

How cool would it be to actually eat ON books? This is just so cool. (And also super expensive.)

I saw similar--and better--spice holders at a local antique shop, and WHY DIDN'T I BUY THEM?

This isn't EXACTLY bookish, but these super cool art pieces are printed on things like old book pages (gasp!) and they are just so pretty and I NEED THEM.

FOREVER AND EVER (and many other cool pendants, too)!

You've heard of Litographs, right? They have bags, shirts, and posters with literary images composed entirely of that work's text, and they look AWESOME. I need to see these in person.

I don't know that I'd ever actually get a tattoo, but I have a few bookish/literary/writerly ideas.

This is more writerly than bookish, but I REALLY WANT an antique tyepwriter. (Mom: We used to have one, but we got rid of it. Me: WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?)

Here is a very partial pictures of my five bookshelves. They are pretty full, especially since there are horizontal stacks on almost every shelf (not including the one you see), and ARCs dominate the top. I NEED MORE SHELVES.

Give it to me, give it to me NOW.

  1. Those plates are so awesome! And I know what you mean with the shelves. Mine broke about half a year ago and half of my room is taken up by books. Hopefully getting a new shelf in a few weeks though, finally!

  3. My husband got me one of those art prints (Wicked Witch on antique dictionary) and one of those pendants (the scene with HP in the woods when his mom tells them they will be with him until the very end) for Valentine's Day. Seriously BEST gifts!

I also have a semi-bookish tat. It says "imagine" with is half for my dad who shared his love of The Beatles with me and half to remind me never to forget imagining. I stopped reading for a few years when I was depressed and finding books again really helped me. I never want to forget how it feels to imagine, so, whohla.

Also, I'm jealous of that giant bookshelf of yours! One day I'll have mine.

    My TTT.

  4. I love those platters, if only I could convince the man we need them in the house!
