Top Ten Tuesday (76)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This Tuesday's theme is...

Top Ten Books On My
Spring 2014 TBR List

So I read about nine of fourteen books on my Winter 2014 TBR List, which I'd say is pretty successful for me. Now, here are fourteen more (fourteen, 2014) that I'm really looking forward to reading during what will hopefully be a warmish season here in Washington. Let's see how many I actually get read!

The Ends of an Era
This has been out for over a month and I haven't read it yet, SHAME ON ME.

If Maxon and America don't end up together I will be in the news for Bad Things.

So I didn't love Shadow and Bone and pretty meh about Siege and Storm, but I want to know how all this ends and also Sturmhond.

Don't Hate Me Because
I Haven't Read These
This should be remedied soon, I PROMISE.

This is just shameful of me.

Judging the Book By its Cover
IT'S SO PRETTY I WANT TO PET IT AND READ IT.

But Will There Be Chaol?
I'm 99.9% positive there won't be any Chaol in this, but I'm obsessed with this series, so.

The Cuteness, it Calls to Me
This just sounds too cute.

Help, I'm Drowning in Review Books
I've heard amazing things about Huntley's books, so I am very much looking forward to this.

I LOVED Kimberly's Body Finder series, so I'm excited to read this!

I'm actually kind of terrified to read this (ohmygosh the hype, and I know nothing about it) and someone should do a readalong with me so we can suffer together.

This sounds very promising but this cover can go away and give back the original (not that this one is bad).

My body is ready for the feels and the cuteness overload.

I love love LOVED Tiger Lily and I am very excited for a new Jodi Lynn Anderson book and may it please not break my heart.

Also, P.S., sorry about using Disqus. I have lots of s-word-rhymes-with-ham issues, and I'm hoping changing up the comments will help. I'm not satisfied with Disqus, but I think it's either that or CAPTCHA. Hopefully I get this fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

  1. Aw, I don't hate you because you haven't read My Life Next Door (which is amazing, by the way). I haven't read Throne of Glass. *hangs head in shame* And I haven't read any of Kasie West's books (despite the fact that I have three of them), which I find to be really sad. Apparently, Plus One is REALLY good, so I need to read that too sometime. The Taking, On the Fence, and Say What You Will are also on my spring TBR. Let's hope they're good!

  7. It's a fact that books shouldn't have a pretty cover, I don't even know what Plus One is about but I suddenly also need to read it because of reasons. I'm also looking forward to Ruin and Rising even though I haven't read the second book yet. Everyone seems to think the world of Daughter of Smoke and Bone but I DNF, so I'm curious about what you'll think of it.

  10. "If Maxon and America don't end up together I will be in the news for Bad Things." This. This exactly. You can bet I'll be at Barnes and Noble on May 6, and I'll stay up all night to finish The One.

I'm also looking forward to On The Fence. I loved Pivot Point (I'm waiting not-so-patiently for my library to get Split Second--thankfully it's on order), and now need all the Kasie West books.

  12. INFINITE. *dies* I am shattered it's over...but so excited that THE ORPHAN QUEEN is coming!! I plan to re-read book 1 and then FINALLY read 2 and 3 when THE ONE comes out! Ahhhhh, RUIN AND RISING. The wait is KILLING me!!! Sturmhond!!! You know...I only sorta liked DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE. But I may have been in a bad reading mood that day. So I'm going to try again when the final book comes out! I've heard really good things about MY LIFE NEXT DOOR! I loved Elizabeth Fama's MONSTROUS BEAUTY, so I'm excited to read her new novel PLUS ONE! Ahhh, probably no Chaol unless he's in the new story! I need to pick this up! I loved Derting's PLEDGE trilogy and am so excited for her new trilogy! Everyone is featuring WE WERE LIARS today. Gotta bump it up my list!! It was a mid-want for me. SAY WHAT YOU WILL almost made it onto my list. I brought out a stack of five or six I MUST READ YOU NOW contemporaries for my final two slots... ON THE FENCE almost made my list, too. I'll read THE VANISHING SEASON closer to summer. It's not my normal type of read, but TIGER LILY!!!

Ugh, I've been having spam issues recently, too. With one post in particular that's a year old...and an author guest post, so I don't wanna get rid of it. Been thinking about doing Disqus or CommentLuv.

I like the way you broke everything down by category!

  15. THE ONE!!! I keep forgetting to put it on my lists, but I AM SO EXCITED.

And don't worry. I'll be in the news for bad things as well if the don't end up together. Because honestly. ASPEN? Nope. Maxon all of the way.

And We Were Liars! I read it on my flight back to school, and just AH. Cannot wait for you to read it.

Great picks! I am looking forward to reading a few of these myself, especially The One, What I Thought Was True, We Were Liars and Plus One. I definitely recommend My Life Next Door, I adored that book! I hope you find the time to get to them all :) My TTT.
