Top Ten Tuesday (75)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This Tuesday's theme is...

Top Ten All-Time
Favorite Contemporaries

This week's Top Ten Tuesday was surprisingly hard. I just did NOT KNOW what genre to pick and that I had ten books for. And I wanted to do something kind of unique, but I came up with nothing. So, here are ten contemporary novels that I reallllly like. Also, these are just contemporaries (no thrillers or ghosts or anything), and mostly of the lighter, fluffier sort (this helped me narrow it down easier).

How to love this book: read it.

This is probably my favorite Sarah Dessen book, with its number one competition being...

I just love Sarah Dessen books (and this is the first one I read).

STEAMY.

It's all fun and games until YOU CAN'T STOP CRYING.

CUTE FLUFFY ADORABLE FUNNY PERFECT.

The cuteness continues.

I have feels.

A TOTAL FAVORITE AND PERFECTION (and my number one book of 2013).

CUTENESS OVERLOAD ALERT.

  6. Great picks! Rainbow Rowell is one of my great author finds last year and I loved Eleanor and Park and Fangirl so much! I really enjoyed Stephanie Perkins' writing as well, with me liking Lola and the Boy Next Door better than Anna and the French Kiss. I can't wait for her third release.

I loved how you describe The Fault in Our Stars. I haven't actually read it yet, although it's in my TBR shelf already, but I already know how it ends but still, I think the magic of this book is when I actually read it. I'm also waiting for the movie to be released. It looks amazing!

Thanks for sharing! Here's My Top Ten Tuesday list :)

  12. I'm a huge Sarah Dessen fan, so it's great to see her on your list! I also really, really enjoyed Fangirl. I haven't heard of The Distance Between Us, but if it's your number one book of 2013 I'll have to give it a try. :-)

Here's my TTT if you'd like to check it out.

We have a lot of overlap. I like. I like it very much. I'd definitely add Sarah Dessen to my list now that I think about it. But for me, I'd add The Truth About Forever (or maybe Along for the Ride). I've read 9/10 books on your list (except for Perfect Chemistry) and I really enjoyed them all.
