Top Ten Books Dealing With Tough Subjects
I don't read a whole lot of books dealing with tough subjects because they can be too dark or depressing for me to handle. However, I have read some, and while they aren't all super serious, they're still pretty good. So here are some that I can recall, along with my attempt (I don't remember everything that happened in the books and what exactly the tough subjects were) at the tough subjects they deal with.

I completely forgot about Don't Breathe A Word! I would have added it to my list if I'd remembered. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I still haven't read all of Sarah Dessen's books - I should really get on to that :) Dreamland sounds really good, although everyone keeps raving about Along for the Ride, too!
ReplyDeleteOoooh Dog is one of my favorite books, Haddon is a great writter! :) Lovely list!

Fault in Our Stars, Speak, and Dreamland are showing up on SO many lists today! Frankly, I'm embarrassed that I haven't read any of them yet.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! :)
SPEAK is on my list, too. I've also seen WILLOW on a couple of lists, and this is the second time I've seen DREAMLAND. Also: TFiOS seems to be a favorite across the board. I need to read my copy! Thanks for sharing your picks!
