Top Ten Tuesday (23)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This Tuesday's theme is...

Top Ten Series I'd Like To Start But Haven't Yet

I'm not sure if these are the top ten series I want to start, but I definitely really want to read all of these. I plan on starting them all this year! (Also, please don't grab your torches and pitchforks and come after me because I haven't read some of these.)

The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking: How have you not read Cassandra Clare's books?! I just haven't gotten to them yet! But I plan on starting them this year, definitely before the movie comes out.

The Vampire Academy and Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead
No, I haven't read these either! But I totally want to--I LOVE vampires! And I've heard some steamy good things about these books. I plan to start them sometime this year.

The Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin
I actually started this series once, but had to put it down when The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer was due at the library. (Darn library!) I definitely want to return to it and finish it, plus I'd like to get to know the one and only Noah Shaw. (Just Googling these images had my stomach fluttering--I see Mara Dyer stuff everywhere, and HOLY STEAM!)

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
I LOVE LOVE LOVE fairy tales, so why I haven't started these yet is beyond me. (And I own them both and have met Marissa three times!) But I'm definitely, absolutely reading them sooner rather than later.

The Unearthly Trilogy by Cynthia Hand
I want to read this trilogy, I really do, especially since I heard Boundless was a fantastic ending to the series. BUT. I was skimming my Goodreads feed and saw which guy gets picked. (Or doesn't.) And I can't get that name out of my head. So I may have to wait on this and hope I forget, because it'd ruin some of the fun knowing what will happen. (Although I doubt I'll forget.)

The Hourglass Trilogy by Myra McEntire
First off, the covers are gorgeous, and that alone makes me want to read this series. Secondly, I've heard some good things about it, and I like the concept. I'm excited to start this one!

The Under the Never Sky Trilogy by Veronica Rossi
I've heard great things about this series and REALLY want to read the books. I believe they're dystopian, which is a genre I love. I'm definitely starting these sooner rather than later.

The Chemical Garden Trilogy by Lauren DeStefano
I've heard about this series for a while and recently read the synopsis for Wither and really, really liked it. Plus, the covers/font/design is just plain awesome. I really hope I like these books--they sound amazing!

The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu
I think I heard about this series around the same time Divergent went big (or I heard of it), and since I loved that book, I'm hoping these are just as good!

If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman
From what I've heard, these books are supposed to be gorgeous and wonderful and very, very emotional. I've seen bits and pieces of them around, and they make my heart break. I want to know what's in these pages, and I hope to find out soon.

What are ten series you want to start? Tell me in the comments!

I just recently started knocking out the Mortal Instruments series and am only on the 2nd one, but I'm wanting to read the rest of them too. I also just read Cinder. It was fantastic. The rest I'm also dying to read too. Great list.

  10. This is the first list I have read so many books from already! The only ones I need to read are The Vampire Academy and the Lumatere Chronicles, which both made my list. I am a book behind in some, like Mara Dyer and The Chemical Gardens, but I've really liked them so I hope you will too, when you get a chance to read them. :)
