Top Ten Books I Resolve to Read in 2013

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking: Are you crazy? How have you not read these books yet?! There's no need to grab your torches and pitchforks--I'm resolving to read these books! And if you happen to think I'm missing something--which I know I am--just tell me! Oh, and Happy New Year!

If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman: I own both books but have yet to get to them. I've heard they're great--and heart wrenching--and I intend on reading them very, very soon.

Shift and Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready: I still can't believe I haven't finished this series. Never fear--I've ordered the books off Amazon and will read them soon!

Endangered by Eliot Schrefer: I've been wanting to read this book since the moment I heard about it. I own a copy and cannot wait to devour it.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver: I loved Oliver's Before I Fall and have been wanting to read this series, too. I own book one and am waiting for book two, and plan on reading them just before Requiem releases.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer: Marissa is a local author that I've met twice, and I still haven't read Cinder. And it's a fairytale retelling! It's at the top of my TBR list.

The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska by John Green: Again, I own them. And I'm going to read--no, devour--them.

What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen: As a huge Dessen fan, it's a crime that I still haven't read this one.

The Lux and Covenant series by Jennifer Armentrout: According to the Twittersphere and Blogosphere, Jennifer's books are kind of a big deal. I'd like to see if I agree.

The Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead: Now, I haven't read them. BUT. I own all The Vampire Academy books! That should count for something.

The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare: *whistles* Don't kill me!

What books do you resolve to read this year? Tell me in the comments!

  3. Omg I absolutely love VA! I have yet to read Bloodlines, though :P Also, if you're going to read the Covenant series, I'd suggest that you read VA first because there are a lot of similarities...

  5. I really hope you enjoy Delirium - I didn't think it would be for me, but because of the reviews I tried it, and ended up loving it! I've started the Vampire Academy series and the Mortal Instruments series, but never finished them!

  9. I loved Delirium & Cinder--two of my favorites books I've read recently. Looking for Alaska is a book I'm determined to read in 2013(well, anything by John Green. I always mean to, I just haven't yet).

  12. So many great books on your list! JLA is awesome, and i really like her Lux series. I haven't read her Covenant series.

I also want to read If I Stay, but I need to be in just the right mood for something like that.

Cinder is amazing. I am listening to it right now (via audiobook) and am loving it. I don't really care for science fiction, but I am so glad I gave it a try.

TFIOS is also a wonderful novel, but such a tearjerker. Be prepared!

Good luck on your reading resolutions :)

    Here's to 2013!
