Top Ten Books to Get in the Halloween Spirit
This topic is perfect with Halloween right around the corner and Don't Look Behind the Bookshelf happening on my blog right now (see: sidebar). I'm loving this topic, so without further adieu, my top ten (in no particular order).
1. The Skeleton Man by Joseph Bruchac
The title is 'nuff said. Plus, I think I remember someone eating their own skin...?
2. Anna Dressed in Blood and Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
A scary ghost girl who murders just about everyone who enters her house? Perfect for Halloween.
3. The Mediator series by Meg Cabot
Ghosts--and a super hot one--with a much lighter feel.
4. The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine
One of the best vampire series out there--romance, death, drama. It's the whole shebang.
5. The Wereling trilogy by Stephen Cole
One of my favorite werewolf series ever. I'd totally recommend it.
6. The Devouring trilogy by Simon Holt
I don't know even know how to describe these books. Weird. Creepy. Good.
7. Ten by Gretchen McNeil
Ten teens stuck on an island with a killer? Yes, please. (Hint: read at night for full effect.)
8. The Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting
A girl can find dead bodies and their killers. Death is in the air for Halloween, you know.
9. Zombie Blondes by Brian James
This might be the only zombie book I've ever read. And it wasn't too shabby.
10. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz
These were the books you dared to read in elementary school. Creepy!
What are your top ten books for Halloween? Tell me in the comments!
I liked Zombie Blondes, though I didn't like the ending. Great picks and I have to agree the Devouring was creepy! :)

Loved Anna Dressed in Blood - it's the only one I've read from the books you mentioned though. A few others are on my reading list.
